8 Easy Ways to Increase Your Reward This Ramadan

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem,
As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

Allaah, ta’alaa said in Surah al-Baqarah (2):245, in this translation of the meaning:

مَّن ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْسُطُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

“Who is it that would loan Allaah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?
And it is Allaah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.”

On the authority of ‘Uthman, radiAllaahu anhu who said:  “I heard Allaah’s Messenger () as saying:

“He who builds a mosque for Allaah, Allaah would build for him (a house) in Paradise like it.”
[Sahih Muslim]

Would you “loan Allaah a goodly loan” to “build a mosque for Allaah”?  I’m almost positive your answer will be yes.

Well, Ramadan is quickly approaching and so it is time for us to think of ways to increase us in those wonderful good deeds that are multiplied for us during Ramadan.  I’m up for a challenge and I hope you are too.

In 2015 a group of sisters who homeschool their children started the Muslim Prayer Spot fundraising campaign and raised $2,280 over the course of 8 weeks and donated it to the Abu Huraira Center masjid to help fund their Masjid Expansion Project on the 27th night of Ramadan 2015.

The masjid is in the process of purchasing the church right beside the masjid and they will be turning it into a mosque and Islaamic School.

The masjid has met all the payments requirement to date, which accounts for just over 50% of the total purchase price.  The remaining amount (4.3 million) is to be paid over the next 2 years!

Let’s do better than we did in the past.  Let’s come together as a community with a stronger united front.  Let us all strive together towards seeking the pleasure of Allaah by contributing in whatever way you can to ensure this Masjid Expansion Project is a success.  Let’s try to beat our contribution of 2015.

LET’S TRY TO RAISE $3000 as a group to purchase a prayer spot by working together to collect donations from amongst ourselves, friends and family which will be given to the masjid on the 21st night of Ramadan.
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Mas’ud al-Ansari who said:  The Messenger of Allah () said:

“One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.”
[Sahih Muslim]

Hope Center started with the idea that the homeschooling community could be connected. Homeschoolers that are in remote locations, or homeschooling abroad could remain connected to the people that understand their needs, their community, and speak their language.

We had a vision that homeschooling communities and co-ops could be established in many different city. And that the different networks could work together to ensure that when one family moves from a city to another, than they could quickly find a homeschooling network in their new city to continue homeschooling while having a new support network close at hand.
